Frequently Asked Questions

What is the turnaround time on resoles?

Turnaround time on resoles is currently around 2-4 weeks from when we receive your shoes to when we post them back to you.

Can I replace the toe rand without replacing the shoe's sole?

No. To remove and repair the rand, the sole must also be removed, meaning that both must be repaired at the same time.

How do I know when my shoe is ready for a resole?

Check out our When To Resole? page to learn when and what type of resole you need. If you are still unsure, you can contact us with any further questions.

Can you resole one shoe at a time?

No. We always resole both shoes together to ensure that they can wear evenly after the resole.

This saves customers from getting one shoe resoled, and then having to resole the other shoe a short time later, resulting in unnecessary time waiting for resoles to be completed.

What rubber is used on my resole?

We have a range of different rubbers available to repair your shoes with. We will repair your shoe with the same rubber (or equivalent) to what was originally on your shoes unless you request for a different type of rubber to be used.

Check out our available rubbers page for a list of the different rubber types we have in stock.

Can you repair damaged straps and laces?

No. Currently we don't offer strap and laces replacements. We are still working on adding this service for our customers.

Can you repair damage to other parts of your climbing shoes?

Depending on the damage sustained, we can provide additional rubber patches and gluing of delamination on your shoes. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about whether we can help.

How many times can climbing shoes be resoled?

Climbing shoes can be resoled a number of times if they are looked after properly and resoled before they become too badly worn. Check out our When To Resole? page to make sure you don't wait too long for your resole.

Resoling your shoes before there is any damage to the rand will considerably extend their life.

Damage to the upper suede/leather/fabric will greatly limit the number of times climbing shoes can be resoled back to high performance levels.

How do I get a cheaper and quicker resole?

Resoling your shoes before there is damage to the rand (see When to Resole?) will not only make your resole cheaper, but will reduce the time it takes for us to complete the resole also.

Being careful not to damage the rand on your climbing shoes, and ensuring you don't wait to long to get your shoes resoled, will have a great impact on the price, and speed of resoles, as well as the longevity of the shoes across multiple resoles.

Is my shoe too far gone to resole?

Check out our When to Resole? page to determine if you shoes can still be resoled.

How much does a resole cost?

Standard Resole: $90

Standard Resole + Single Rand Repair: $110

Standard Resole + Pair Rand Repair: $120
